As a pressing challenge in creating a more sustainable built environment, architects must deepen their understanding of how buildings interact with their surroundings. This course introduces the fundamentals of ArchiCAD 2D and Rhino 3D with an emphasis on analysing architectural references that engage with the natural environment. 

To this end, students will analyse and draw from a curated selection of projects. Drawings that render and communicate the organic quality of the selected references, representing vegetation and natural forms with their irregularities and organic qualities.

The final outcome will be a catalogue of vegetation and natural elements and a set of drawings to be displayed at a collective exhibition.

No prior experience with BIM or Revit is required and please bring your laptops with the programs installed.
