Infrastructure Interaction Studio by Marius Busch “Architecture becomes more than a physical structure when people participate in its making; it becomes a vessel of collective memory, shared identity, and lasting connections between people and place.” Reactivating Raguhn Through Collective Making The project reactivates an abandoned industrial building in Raguhn by transforming it into a vibrant community hub through adaptive reuse and collective making. Inspired by Raguhn’s existing identity, industrial heritage, and local character, the proposal aims to revitalise the village, strengthen its image, and create a renewed sense of place. Materials recovered from a neighbouring unstable structure are reused through minimal construction techniques and durable, long-lasting building solutions. Flexible spaces adapt to the interests and needs of the village, accommodating workshops, social gatherings, cultural events, and community activities. By involving local residents and architecture students in the construction process, the project fosters shared memories, a sense of ownership, and a lasting connection between people and place.
Hof Prädikow: Architectural and Structural Investigation
Findings
Through site visits, photography, and on-site observations, we documented existing buildings, structural elements, materials, and spatial qualities. These findings helped us identify key architectural features, construction methods, and opportunities for material reuse. The collected photographs and observations became an important reference for concept development, supporting the exploration of design ideas and informing the architectural transformation of the building.
