'Contradictions' Fancy but Lonely

In today's globalized world, urban loneliness is another prevalent issue. For instance, in metropolitan areas like Berlin's Humboldthafen, where the site I worked on is located, individuals can feel isolated even amidst a crowd. Can we consider this phenomenon as a spatial manifestation of the broader issue of globalization? When addressing this problem, it's essential to focus on a design process that progresses from individual loneliness to community integration at an urban scale.

How often do you feel lonely?

The Community Circle

The transition from small circles to large ones represents the mixing of human beings into society in big cities. The suddenly changing atmosphere in such a dense area in Berlin is a good example of the transition from crowd to loneliness. The circle of society that connects the poetic situation in this region provides a dramatic atmosphere to the user. The individual we see in the land photographs is intended to provide a poetic atmosphere for him to enjoy his loneliness in the city center while living in an unplanned area that is not planned. All these conflicts provide a different contrast with a place with a train station crossing center in the background.

All this circular plan appears in the third dimension, the shape of the loneliness we have been talking about presents us with an architecture that affirms turning inward. It adds a sense of privacy to the person passing by or using the spa area, just like being alone in the crowd in big cities.

When we start to process the circle, we see a wooden structure, different. wooden pieces progressing to different levels, both offering an inviting welcome to the user and drawing the boundaries of privacy and solitude by closing in places. In fact, at this point, it becomes a center that differs from other spa centers. Because it is in a function that cures urban loneliness and is open to society. and it is located at a point where all these conflicts and contrasts intersect. at the same time, we can say that it is a point rich in historical context. at the point where it intersects with the other circle, it suddenly becomes a point where you can enjoy the atmosphere or enjoy the solitude where you can have a drink while waiting for a train, maybe waiting for a friend.
